Showcase your research at the SRPC’s 33rd Annual Rural & Remote Medicine Conference, taking place April 16–18, 2026, in Quebec City, Quebec.

The SRPC Research Committee is now accepting submissions on all aspects of health and healthcare in rural and remote settings. Abstracts are invited for two presentation formats:

  • Research Oral Presentation
  • Research Poster Presentation

All abstracts will undergo peer review by the SRPC Research Committee.


  • Research Oral Presentation: December 31, 2025
  • Research Poster Presentation: December 31, 2025

Abstracts must follow this structure and not exceed 250 words in total:

  • Introduction: State the objective (~50 words)
  • Methods: Describe the approach, without results (~50 words)
  • Results: Present findings only (~80 words)
  • Conclusion: Summarize key takeaways (~70 words)

Pending peer review and approval, qualifying abstracts may be considered for publication in CJRM as submitted.

Please ensure your abstract is complete, accurate, and carefully proofread (including spelling and grammar). Once submitted, changes cannot be made directly. Any revisions must be requested by emailing info@srpc.ca before the deadline of December 31, 2025.

Presenters will have 8 minutes to deliver their presentation, followed by a 2-minute Q&A session. *Oral presentation submissions will also be considered for the poster session. (Time allocated subject to change.)



Posters will be displayed for the duration of the conference, and attendees will have a dedicated time to view them.



Students and Residents who register and attend the conference and hold a valid membership are eligible for the $500 prize for the top research poster.
